PhD retreat to Hamburg

The 2025 PhD retreat took our students to Hamburg, where we had a program filled with talks, team building activities and a scientific excursion. All students had the opportunity to present their research via a talk or poster, leading to many discussions between the students of the different departments. We also visited the European X-ray Free-Electron Laser Facility (XFEL) with a guided tour through the facility. Besides scientific activities, there was time for the students to get to know each other through team-building activities in the lovely city of Hamburg.
