Poster award for Francisco Lieberich

We congratulate Francisco Lieberich, an IMPRS-CPQM student in the group of Prof. Dr. Elena Gati,  on winning a poster award at this year's conference “Current Trends in Strongly Correlated and Frustrated Systems” (SCF25). He was honored for his contribution entitled “Exploring the Anisotropic Shastry-Sutherland Model by Strain Tuning of SrCu₂(BO3)₂.” Through the targeted application of uniaxial distortion to frustrated magnets, he investigates how unconventional phases, such as quantum spin liquids, can be stabilized.
