PhD retreat to Braunschweig

This year's retreat took our PhD students to Braunschweig. During the retreat, the doctoral students presented their research activities in the different departments and groups at the MPI CPfS. Further, the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt; national metrology institute of GErmany) warmly welcomed us, showing us around their facilities and teaching us about the importance of metrology. There was also time for team building activities, that included walking around the historic city of Braunschweig and several games that promoted bonding between students from across the institute.
