Congratulations to Anđela and Michal!
Two successful PhD defenses
Over the last weeks, two IMPRS students have successfully completed their work and defended their PhD theses:
Anđela Živanović worked at the University of St Andrews in the group of Prof. Phil King, and her thesis discussed her work on "Imaging and manipulating the band structure of NbSe2 and Ca3Ru2O7".
Michal Moravec was based at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden and his work under the supervision of Prof. Andy Mackenzie resulted in a thesis “From Ohmic to Non-Local Transport in Delafossite Metals". Michal also served as one of the PhD representatives at MPI CPfS from 2020 - 2022, and we sincerely than him for his contributions to the PhD community at the institute.
We wish both of them all the best for their future and look forward to seeing them again at some point.
