Poster awards for Rahel Ohlendorf and Aleksei Frolov
Congratulations for their awards at ICM 2024!
The International Conference on Magnetism (ICM) is the largest conference worldwide for the magnetism community. The 22nd ICM was held from 30 June to 5 July in Bologna, Italy which is also home to the presumably oldest university in the western world, established in 1088. More than 2000 scientist from all over the world, including a large group of members of IMPRS-CPQM, attended the conference to present and discuss their scientific findings.
From a large group of presenters, Rahel Ohlendorf and Aleksei Frolov were selected as winners of the Best Poster Award at ICM2024, and we congratulate them on this achievement. Both received this prestigious award for their outstanding work on strain tuning of quantum materials, highlighting the potential of the technique. Rahel presented results on the altermagnet candidate MnF2 and Aleksei on the unconventional superconductor Sr2RuO4.
