Selection workshop 2025

For the 2025 edition of our annual selection workshop, we were excited to welcome 20 candidates for positions in the IMPRS-CPQM to Dresden. Over the course of two days, the candidates had the opportunity to present their own research, meet potential future supervisors and interact with our students. We sincerely thank all candidates for coming to Dresden from all over the world and showing so much interest in our program. We also appreciate the time and effort of our PIs and, in particular, our students to make the workshop a memorable event for everyone involved.

Everyone participating in the workshop had a very good time, even though the program was very busy.

At the evening before the main program started, we hosted a Welcome Reception at MPI CPfS, so that the candidates could get to know each other and also students of IMPRS-CPQM.

Each candidate gave a presentation about their research experience,  

and the discussions about the talks continued during lunch and coffee breaks.

Our current students offered the visitors a tours of their labs, 

told them about their own research projects, 

and their experience as students in IMPRS-CPQM, 

so that the candidates gained valuable insights into our program and research.

In the evening, some of our students invited the visitors to a restaurant in the city to end the day in a relaxing atmosphere.
