Communicating your research across scientific disciplines
The aim of this one-day workshop is to learn how to design and give a talk intended for a broad scientific audience. That type of talk requires special and highly transferable skills - it is just the kind of thing that you will need to do at the beginning of many academic or non-academic job interviews, for example.

During the day you will hear three example talks by practicing scientists who are excellent communicators. In structured small-group discussions and coffee breaks you will be able to discuss with them and other participants in order to reflect on the different aspects of what makes a good talk. Additionally, a selected number of participants will have the opportunity to receive feedback on a short talk intended for a broad scientific audience.

This workshop is open for PhD students and postdocs. Because of the interactive character of the workshop, e.g. frequent small-group discussions, the number of participants is limited.
