Comprehensive Course on Topology and Materials
Course
- Start: Apr 24, 2026
- End: Jul 24, 2026
- Speaker: see schedule
- Location: MPI-CPfS, Dresden
- Room: SR 1+2
The course on Topology and Materials is offered by several researchers at MPI CPfS who all are involved in our world-leading research activities in this field. The series of lectures is particularly targeted at PhD students and other junior researchers.
Several scientists will give lectures on their respective research area, and the course will offer a broad introduction into the field of topological materials and at the same time provide a great overview over the research activities at our institute in this field.
The course will start on 24 April 2026. Lectures take place on Fridays from 13:00 - 14:30, and will be offered based on the following schedule:
- 24 April – General Introduction: Topology and Material Course (Fabian Menges)
- 8 May - Topology and Light-Matter Interactions (Fabian Menges)
- 22 May - Theory of Topological Quantum Systems (Xiaolong Feng)
- 29 May - Topological Transport Experiments (Chandra Shekhar)
- 5 June - 2D Devices and Physics (Changjiang Yi)
- 12 June - Quantum Chemistry of 2D Materials (Sushmita Chandra)
- 19 June - Quantum Materials Thin Films (Edouard Lesne)
