Dear visitors to our webpage, in particular dear potential applicants!

we sincerely apologize for the extended downtime of our webpage due to technical difficulties. We understand that this may have caused inconvenience for many of you and we are truly sorry about that.

In order to compensate for the inavailability of our webpage while we have an open call for applications, we will also consider applications submitted after the announced deadline of 30 Nov. If you would like us to process your application as part of our main recruitment and selection activities, please submit your application as soon as possible, though.

Also, if you recently tried to reach us by email, but haven’t received any answer yet, please re-send your email to Dr. Markus König, the coordinator of IMPRS-CPQM (markus.koenig@cpfs.mpg.de).

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Welcome to IMPRS-CPQM!

Welcome to IMPRS-CPQM!

The International Max Planck Research School for Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials (IMPRS-CPQM) is a tri-institutional collaboration of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, Technische Universität Dresden and the University of St Andrews.

By working together, we create a highly attractive overall package of PhD level research on materials chemistry and physics including access to world-leading facilities, a large range of graduate level courses across both disciplines, and specially designed skills training (both academic and non-academic).

We recruit PhD students from all over the world, and offer them an internationally leading PhD programme. This results in a cohort of lively, enthusiastic PhD students who relish international opportunities and the chance to work at the cutting edge of our field.
